Social Media Analytics Startup Frrole Raises $245K Funding -
Frrole has raised an angel round of $245k led by Sharad Sharma (co-founder and Governing Council member of iSPIRT) and Manav Garg (Eka Software), Google India MD Rajan Anandan, independent angel investor Sunil Kalra.Atul Singh (president Asia Pac for Coke), Bhupen Shah (Sling Media/DishTV) and IIG (India Internet Group) too are among the angel investors. With this round of funding Sharad Sharma joins the board. The investors hold a combined stake of 23 per cent, a top company executive said.Frrole will use the current round of funding to expand the team from its current team. “The funds will be deployed over 15 months in expanding to Southeast Asia, mainly Singapore and Indonesia, besides building operational capabilities and expanding its reach within India,” said Nishith Sharma, who co-founded the company with Abhishek Vaid and Amarpreet Kalkat in 2012. The Bangalore based startup was part of the 2013 winter batch at Microsoft Ventures’ accelerator programme in Bangalore.

HITACHI WILL INSTALL WORLD’s FASTEST LIFTS IN CHINA -
Worlds trusted name in elevator services, Hitachi, is going to deliver the fastest lifts in the world that will be moving 95 floors in 43 seconds, with an average speed of 45mph. The proposed lifts are under construction for the 1,700 feet high Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre in China. Once completed, the lifts will be the fastest in the world. Each lift will be capable of travelling an average speed of almost 45mph (72km per hour or 1,200 meters per minute), from the first to the 95th floor in approximately 43 seconds. In total there will be 95 lifts out of which only two will be ultra-high-speed elevators and Hitachi will also be installing 28 double-deck lifts capable of speeds over 22mph.
